This was actually taken a little past the 8-month mark, at about 37 weeks. I keep thinking "surely I can't possibly get any bigger than this" and then somehow I do get bigger.
I went to a prenatal appt at 37 1/2 weeks and they said that I was not dilated at all yet and 30% effaced. I'm getting Braxton-Hicks contractions every day (usually in the evening). So something is happening but not too much. I don't expect to go into labor anytime soon, although it could happen any day now. I think I'll make it to my due date, but we'll see!

Now that I'm in my 60's I've wondered about that tattoo thing as you age as well. Good luck on your baby. Found your site while randomly browsing blogspot. I'm from San Antonio.
